Thuy Cam Nguyen is a coordinator for the Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture Partnership in Vietnam (PSAV). In her role, Thuy works closely with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (MARD) and PSAV's partners to develop a collaborative, multi-stakeholder strategy. Thuy will also drive the implementation of priority projects jointly agreed upon by MARD and Grow Asia, and coordinate with PSAV Task Forces to align the partners' objectives, work plans, and responsibilities with our broader mission of building more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable food systems.
Thuy has over 20 years of experience in the development sector. Before joining Grow Asia, Thuy was the senior program officer for the Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH). She worked as a focal point for the local platform named the Public-Private Partnership Task Force for Pepper and Spices. In this role, Thuy facilitated the collaboration between local platforms and international organizations such as European Spices Association (ESA), American Spices Trade Association (ASTA), and the Sustainable Spices Initiative. She also worked closely with private companies to jointly develop co-funding field-level projects for sustainable agricultural sourcing.
Prior to IDH, Thuy was a program officer for various GIZ-funded forestry projects focused on sustainable forest management, forest certification schemes, and administrative reform in the forestry sector. She was also a program officer for Hanoi Business Association.
Thuy holds a Master's Degree focused on Agriculture Economics from Vietnam Forestry University and Bachelor in Foreign Trade from Foreign Trade University.
