Strategic Partnerships Highlighted at Special Meeting Hosted by Danish Minister and Ambassador

Today, Grow Asia's Executive Director, Beverley Postma, was in Ha Noi for meetings with the Viet Nam Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and Grow Asia’s Country Chapter – PSAV (Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture in Viet Nam).

Grow Asia had the honor of joining senior leaders at a special lunch hosted by Minister H.E. Mr. Jacob Jensen and Danish Ambassador H.E. Mr. Nicolai Prytz. This event brought together key partners from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), FAO, The World Bank, and the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT to share examples of best practices in food systems transformation.

During the lunch, Minister Jensen highlighted a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed earlier that day with Viet Nam’s Minister for Agriculture, Lê Minh Hoan. This MoU reaffirms Denmark's readiness to support multi-stakeholder partnerships in Viet Nam and emphasizes the importance of public-private initiatives to scale sustainable agricultural development.

Since 1971, Denmark and Viet Nam have fostered a robust relationship, marked by collaboration and shared goals. The recent establishment of the Vietnam-Denmark Green Strategic Partnership in 2023 highlights Denmark's commitment to supporting Vietnam's sustainable development journey. This is an opportune moment to establish impactful partnerships and drive positive change for a more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient food system.

Grow Asia, through multi-stakeholder partnerships, works with more than 770 partners to address agrifood system challenges by scaling sustainable solutions for tangible impact. We look forward to contributing our knowledge, expertise, and impact to further build the resiliency of our regional food systems.
